  The artist apologized that this picture was drawn on lined paper.  I don’t think apologies are necessary.  If you’ve been watching True Blood, you’ll notice the Sookie pictured here is a little fuller, a little rounder.  Very much in the spirit of Sookie from the books.  She does bear more than a slight resemblance to Betty Cooper from the Archie comics, what with her wide eyes and smile.

  But it’s the shadows that make this drawing more than a rough cartoon sketch.  In the shadows, we get the true natures of each of Sookie’s would-be suitors.
