Holy smokes! It's my one year anniversary on Twitter!

Well, technically, it’s tomorrow.

But one year ago on the Sunday after Thanksgiving, I was sitting at home a little bored when I decided to create the @SookieBonTemps account.  Maybe it was True Blood / Sookiebook withdrawal.  Who knows?  Either way, something inside of me said, “What the hell?  Why not tweet a few Sookie-isms and see if this sticks?”

A year later, I’m still here.  And I’ve got a whole lot of people that I’d like to thank for making Twitter a boatload of fun:

• Thank you to everyone who followed me in the beginning when Bon Temps on Twitter only had one resident.
• Thanks to @TrueBloodDallas who knows how to spot a lost lamb when she sees one — it’s certainly been a wild ride from our first chat, to meeting in L.A. for Paley, going to Shreveport to meet Charlaine, to doing Talk Blood every Sunday night after Season 2 epis.  Without you, I would not have met the awesome @robiart and the lovely Patrick.
• Thanks to all of the characters, especially to the first string of players that came aboard — @EricNorthman, @Pam_atFangtasia, @VampireBill, @MerlottesBar, @KitchenBitch, @TaraMaeThornton, @JessicaHamby, @HoytFortenberry, @AndyBellefleur.  And thanks to the all of the characters who came on board shortly thereafter, both from the series/books and the originals.  Without you, there would be no Bon Temps Twitterverse.
• Thanks to all of the wild, wonderful ladies of the Wiki like @BillohBill, @KimmieTex, @BubbaLives, @isilwath, @TES2008, @SheiroQ, @ChoChoMojo, @smeykunz, and @Konelli (I know there are more of you, so please forgive me for not listing you all here). All of you jumped on board back in late January, early February.  Thank you for sticking around.
• Thank you all of the new friends who found me during Season 2 and decided to keep sticking with me long after the season was over. It’s going to be a long ride to June 2010 and it’s great to have company.
• Last, but not least, thanks to the folks at @TrueBloodHBO for being supportive of its fans.

Thank you to everyone for making Twitter a blast.  I’ve always said I’d quit tweeting when I got bored, and I’m not there yet.  Here’s to another year full of Twitter hijinks amongst good friends!
