If it isn’t obvious by now, I’m a huge fan of @unikissa’s True Blood fan art.  See other portraits of Eric and her other work here.

True Blood and Mad Men back to back? *headdesk*

Yesterday was pretty much like any other Sunday night for me:

    1) Watch True Blood at 8pm.

    2) Livetweet the show.

    3) Take tweet reactions between 9:00 – 9:30.

    4) Talk Blood after True Blood from 9:30 – 10:30.

Well, last night, I added one more thing to my Sunday night agenda:  DVR Mad Men, the show that kind of got me into all this tweet-craziness in the first place, and maybe watch it after Talk Blood wraps.

I’ve been a huge fan of the show since it started airing and I’d been following the Mad Men character bloggers on Twitter long before I started tweeting .  While the drama of last night’s episode of True Blood was more than enough to make up for missing Mad Men, a small part of the person hiding behind @sookiebontemps’ avatar was screaming because she couldn’t watch the premiere when it aired.

Old habits die hard, I guess.

I’m not someone who regularly follows TV series.  I usually pick one per season and stick with it — life is just more manageable that way.  If I do end up following more than one series in any given season, then it gets DVR-ed and I will watch it when I get to it.  So, Mad Men, either I’ll have to stay up a little later to watch you on Sunday night or I’ll get to you when I get to you during the week.  And it’s going to have to be like that until True Blood Season 2 is over.

Guess being able to watch Mad Men during its regularly scheduled timeslot is the only upside I can find to having only three more episodes of True Blood left.

Starred tweet of the day from @Eunice007.

Yep, I know it’s still early.  But I think it’s going to be pretty tough to beat this tweet.

    Fan Art: Sookie Stackhouse.

The artist clearly has a love for TV and movies.  While his portrait of Bill and Sookie may be his most favorited work on Deviant Art, the rest of S von P’s gallery is worth a peek if you’re into Vulcans or Heros.

In this particular rendering of Sookie Stackhouse, I believe he’s captured a moment that simply says, “There’s no turning back now,” and ringed it in blood.
